Completion of the E-filing and/or IRS filing Process

  • "Copies for Carlos" of IRS required forms must be signed, dated and returned to Carlos, along with
  • Payment in full for all services as invoiced before I can e-file or print out your final return(s).
  • Take this process into account whenever scheduling your preparation and submission of documents needed to prepare your tax return(s) so that we can reasonably be expected to meet the IRS filing deadlines.

Tax preparation documents must be submitted before an appointment can be scheduled.

  • Electronic copies of your tax preparation documents may be emailed to me via carlos@carlosthetaxman.com.
  • Alternatively, photocopies of your tax preparation documents may be mailed to me or dropped off in the physical dropbox at the front door of my Austin office.
  • Please do not send tax documents via certified mail since I am routinely meeting with clients and unavailable to sign for delivery.
  • I do not accept original paper copies due to legal liability and security concerns.
  • If your last-filed tax return was not prepared by me, then include a copy of your last-filed tax return in addition to your other documentation for the current tax year.
  • If you are a new client, then I recommend that you include copies of your three last-filed tax returns in addition to your other documentation for the current tax year.
